my car has both a hks bov and a byspass valve, not sure wat one ( blue top and silver bottem) i was wondering if the car needs both, will i be safe to take out the bypass valve and just leave the bov in, becasue i think the bpv is shot. mainly because the car is acting funny under boost, am i able to just plug off every thing attaching the bpv and runnin it as is?

***sorry its the boost sience reflex diverter valve****

definately need some detail to know whats going on and give educated advice.

mileage, mods, symptoms, guage readings, etc. Anything you can give...

yeah,

there not many things a bpv might do... it's either leaking or not opening..which would make like you have no bpv and blowing out through the bov only and enrich the mix so much that the car would stall..

it's that or you lose psi coze it's leaking..

maybe something i didn't think about..

those boostscience are LIFE TIME warrantied.. so if it was that, you can get it fixed..

if hes having boost issues it can be a number of different things...

could be bad vacuum lines, possibly from recently moving stuff around, bad wastegate, incorrectly adjusted BOV causing a leak, or a bad BPV, etc...

trying to find out what situation hes actually having and in what scenarios its existing... will help narrow down things a bit.

I was going to ask if he was having trouble building boost, but he hasn't come back to answer yet. Hello...I want to know.

thats weird i put down an reply but it dnt show up.... sorry...i just put a new bypass valve in ( my friend had one) we checked all the vac lines and all the harpipe hoses .. no leaks.. at idle my Hg is usually at 19 - 18 where my friend with the same car is at 20--- ther is now 100200 km on the car . i un hooked the bov and the car still has problems under boost.. its like the boost is there but the power isnt... under boost the car should be accelerating alot faster, but it isnt, so the bov is hooked back up again and im running my gredy boost contorller wiht my unichip at 9-10 psi

i just unhooked the reflex diverter valve and plugged every thing off the car seems to run a bit better,,, is this a good idea or should i hook it bak up (the bov is hooked up still tho)

does it feel like you are hitting tiny walls, or like your car is "stumbling" up to speed until around 5500 rpm where it takes off again?

i dont think it has the fcd... but its kinda hesitant untill its goes after like 5psi and about like 4000-4500 rmp but its gettin better tho

sounds like your "typical" hesitation.... MSPs are known for a stumble/hesitation until around 5k rpm...

esp. made known in warmer weather.
