AWR Mounts Installed-Question

I had my AWR Mounts installed yesterday and you can sure can feel the vibration. The vibration is usually when I am ideling. I do have a question and I hope someone can help. When I start my car, the engine sounds different? However, when I am outside of the car, and It is started, I don't hear it.
Is this difference in sound due to the mounts beimg stiff? I purchased A/T mounts and what I have read, they will soften up a bit in two weeks or so, true?
The car runs fine and I sure can feel/tell the difference when I turn corners, braking and etc.
Please provide me with some feedback

They shake a whole lot when you first get them, but eventually the vibration won't be bad at all. The only time you'll notice anything is at start-up & during shifting (lack of engine thrash ).

did you do the install or pay to have it done? i still need to put in my firewall mount.......i can only imagine how im gunna do this....there is no room to work back there.

I had them installed. I heard that the firewall mount was very hard. I really don't have time to do it myself, I am up at 3:30am and get home at 6:30pm. When I priced shops to install them, the first shop quoated me $317, the second $370, the third $250 and finally the third $150, do the math. The guy at Gear One said the mounts would take .7 hours each. They had to loosen all the mounts to move the motor around. The guy who did the work, said that the Mazda Manufacturers spray some sort of sealing compound on the bolts, thats why they are so hard to take off.

ive been thinking of getting the motor mounts because my p5 vibrates like hell. it feels like the motor is just laying in the bay and moves around while i drive.

if you get the mounts it will vibrate even more though only noticeable at idle.

I have the mounts, and the sound inside is much like an exhaust kit. People keep asking me if I have one. It is simply because all the engine vibration is transmitted into the passenger compartment.

The reason the vibration is higher at lower RPMs is because the engine has time to be moved by the movement inside the engine. As the RPM increases, the cycle increases, meaning the engine no longer has the time to move in response to the cycle of the internals.

Hope that helps. Btw, I have the mounts as well, with the softer bushings, and I love the improvement.

expect the shifting to go back to what you remember. When I installed my rear mount, it cancelled out the smoother shift.

I installed my front motor mount last night and felt a differance right when i started it some vibration, smoother shifting and very little engine movement. Cant wait to do the rear looks like a difficult install but well worth it.

depends on what you want from your car. If you want a nice comfortable, quiet ride, no. If you want to lessen the parasitic drag on your drivetrain, and you don't mind a bit more vibration, and you like your engine to be more responsive.... yes.
