AWR Motor Mounts (Dont use front and rear for everyday driving)

I've had my mounts in for just over a year ,i don't notice the vibrations any more . I have gotten use to them ,I wouldnt go back to stock either .

I dont know about all this softening up stuff...I put the front one in my car. I thougth that the throttle response was great and no engine rocking BUT the vibration was like WHOA! Everything in the car shook. The steering wheel, change, mirrors...you name it. I yanked that puppy right out. I agree that its soo easy tp take in and out that you could swap it in at the track within 5 mins. Thats what I plan on doing.

Heck I may try to re-install it and drive around to see if it softens up. I hope so.

I need my rear mount in. I still havent installed it, but i would like to. I could live with a lilttle more rattle. I feel with only the front mount in, i still get a lot of engine lash, and i have LSD.

when i originally installed my front mount, the vibration was huge compaired to stock....then i got an impact wrench and tightened the nuts up as far as they would go.....it's like a stock mount now. i will be doing the same on the rear mounts

I torqued my rear nuts down to 70 lb ft. with a torque wrench should they torque down further then that?

try torquing them a little more, esp the one against the polyurethane

yup same with me. my wife and kid don't even notice anymore. mainly people who are not in my car much

okay, I torqued down the throughbolt a little bit more and took a stab at the rear bolts. I think just the throughbolt made a difference and even with only 2 days of driving in I can already feel a improvement in the vibration.

Having both mounts does indeed rock, throttle response is much improved along with general driving/feedback from the car.

I gave up on the rear mount. I'll just wait till I pull the motor. When I start up the car feels like my old Drag Civic. With the 6 puck ACT clutch and the front mount. There is tons of chatter. But I think it ripped on of my drive shaft boots cause there is greese all over the place. :mad:
