AWD---The wheels are turning

yeah, does anyone know how much?

how long would it take to source parts?

Corksport found me everything I would need from the J-spec car in about a month minus the driveshaft. For some more money you could upgrade the driveshafts and halfshafts, but there probably isn't much upgrading available for the tranny and diff. I would estimate about the same power that our stock tranny's can hold...250-300hp if you drive with some sense.

Ha! 1 left nut and change I would assume.

Actually it wasn't that bad. The actual transmission was already in their warehouse and they wanted $400 for it. We never finalized a price on everything else though. I would guess a few grand would get everything shipped to you.

i would prolly guess around 2k final for Transmission, Driveshaft, Rear Diff. rear axles and hubs.

just figured this was a bunch of BS talkin.... so there is actually an AWD p5 in japan??? hum, i should try to get stationed there, or go on vacation there via MILITARY... and check it out for myself!!!! maybe even find someone who can get me one!!!....though i'd imgaine there would be a lot of work/cost to make that thing worth being AWD, the weight of the p5 is alot, and with the extremely under powered stock motor it comes with!!! really to make it worth anything i'd say you should just get a STI or EVO or something... cheaper!!! sure it would be totally unique, but i'm no Mr. Gates!!!! "Pockets are Empty, and I'm Hungry!" (as stated by yours truely from 2F2F)!!!

yeah i think its safe to say that it wasnt done since there are floor pan and interior differences as well, I gave my boy some rear seats from my 90 protege parts car, and they wouldnt fit in his 90 AWD Protege... so its much more labor intensive than a drop in swap... its been done in a mercury tracer tho lol

yea there is an awd version of the p5 overseas, but the drivetrain is weak from what i have heard, no where near as good as subie's or mitsu's awd platforms.

2716 or 2752lbs I believe? In stock form. I've seen both weights listed.

An MSP weighs over 2800lbs.
