average boost

hey whats up...i picked up a turboxs boost controller..i was wondering what should i put the boost to where you can notice alittle difference,,but at the same time not put any wear and tear on anything internally

i believe the concensus depends upon whether or not you are flashed. If not 9-10 seems ok, if you are 8-9 is good.

Is it just me? I honestly don't find 6 psi and 8 psi much of a differences at all. I really hope it's just me. I had a boost guage installed right before i put in my Joe P mbc and i managed to spike roughly 6 psi and stable at 5 psi.

After Joe P, I set it to spike at about 9 psi and stable at 8 psi, and there are times when i'm boosting and it reads 8 psi in 3rd gear or 4th and i honestly don't feel any gain. Everyone here says 8/9psi is a nice increase, but i don't. Maybe i was expecting more from a 2 -3 psi increase?

The only differences i notice is that there is no traction if i boost in 1st at all. It's nothing but wheel spin, which tells me there is an increase in power for sure. You can never do that w/o an increase in boost. 2nd gear also pulls nicely, but any gears higher then 2nd is almost no different to me...

I wouldn't think there would be much difference in 1st gear. With a bone stock MSP, boost doesn't go over 5psi, when the max should be 6.5. Are you saying once you installed an MBC that your boost is 1st goes over 5?

I peak at around 6.8 and steady at 6.5 bone stock. First gear is no different from the others. I plan to keep this stock boost a while for the warrenty.

That's good to know cause I just got my Joe P MBC and was wondering where to put it and if it will make that much difference.
