Auxillary works intermittently

Hi I have a 09' CX9 with NAV, DVD, and Sirius.

The Aux Plug in the center console worked fine for my MP3 and Ipod for the 1st week i had the car.

Now the Aux input works on and off. It will play for 10-30 seconds then stop for 10-30 seconds then start to play again.

I do not have this trouble with Sirius or CD.

I have tried two different ipod/mp3 players and two different cables.

Anyone have this problem? have a fix? I brought it to the deler and they said they would have to take apart the dash to see what is wrong.

Thanks...

Man, last time I guessed "jack", but it was the cable.
I hope I am right this time.
Get another cable just to be sure that you rule out the cable problem.

What you described sounds like a loose contact somewhere.
Indeed, someone needs to tear apart the center console to nail it down.
Ask for a loaner car if you could from Mazda dealer (or find one that will).

Try another cable that you know works. Someone else just had 2 in a row that were bad.

Here is a weird thing...

The Auxillary worked great for about the first week. Then it started to work intermittently.

I also did not activate to 6 month free Sirius til about a week after I got the car. Now I do not remember the exact day that the aux problem started but it was around the same time the sirius was activated, could that have anything to do with it?

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try a 3rd cable. I know my 1st cable worked great for the first week.

OK,

Bought a New Cord, Higher Quality with gold plated tips and it still works intermittently.

I have also noticed that my Bluetooth is no longer working. Will not Pair Up.

Guess into the shop I go...

Did you ever get this resolved? I have a '09 GT and when I plug my wife's ipod touch into it it will play for a short time, then blank out for a few seconds, and then play again. I'll try the bluetooth to see if that is still working. We also have the Sirius radio activated.
