AutoExe Coil Over kit

Anybody have this set up? Or perhaps just the AutoExe springs? I am considering lowering my 3 sedan when I get my tax return.

I'd like to get the highest quality possible and I also planned on getting AutoExe strut braces, so figured I'd keep everything the same brand. I'm new at this car mod stuff, though. I previously owned an '07 Wrangler and before that a '93 Corrado VR-6, bone stock.

I'll admit that the front and rear braces will be for show primarily at first, but here is my mod list that I have envisioned:

17" Wedsport SA-70 (light gray)
AutoExe Coilover Kit
AutoExe Front and Rear Strut bars
AutoExe Exhaust System
Some kind of headers (haven't decided which)

Hmm I didn't think you really needed the strut bars unless you were going to put alot of power into the car, my car is slow so I don't even look at those things at this point.

I would say consider the H&R it gave it a really nice drop, and no problems at all during the install.

But do you need to do the camber kit too? If so, did you use OEM? And how much of a drop in total?

This is my only car, so I like the idea of being able to adjust the ride height with the coilovers because in the winter time I need some ground clearance

You think AutoEXE offers higher quality over H&R? Hmm, ill beg to differ. Its your wallet my friend. Goodluck with it!

No camber kit needed when they did it as far as I know. It dropped it a good 1 1/2 and it still gives me enough that I have the ground clearance. If you look in the pics it will give you a better idea, and it is on my stock tires because of it being winter.

The only time you really need to be able to adjust your ride height is if you are dropping it extrememly low to the ground. A normal drop you don't need to adjust although of course you will be a little more careful pulling in and out but nothing major.

Unless you plan on scraping the ground while your driving, I don't think you should worry to much about adjusting it. I have a VW that I can't even pull in the driveway it is so low and that doesn't even have the adjustable ones.

Buy the H&R and don't worry so much about everything matching, think what is going to work the best for what you want it to do !!

You will want to go with a coilover set up! Trust me i have lowered many cars b4 and was dissapointed with them all after just swaping out the springs. Ovecourse i was just going for the look at the time. Unless you went with a COBB or a MS spring (wich dont lower the car a whole lot) you will be blowing shocks and have a harsh ride. IMO spend the money and get a good coilover set up you will be more happy in the long run..

P.S do a little shopping there are a few companys that make a coil setup for the car. I have the MS version and enjoy it.

That's what I thought. I mean, what I know about suspensions comes from Jeeps. There are your basic budge boosts with shock extenders, etc. and there is your coil over and full suspension kits (Donahoe Racing, Old Man Emu). The latter are the most trouble free. I don't want to dump $500 into my car for springs to find out I really should have done it right and got the complete coilover kit. I believe in saving up for what I am really looking for and doing it once.

That being said, how about the TEIN SS Damper kit? It would save $400 bucks over the AutoExe.

Honest i havent heard much about TEIN on the MS3's If anyone has em speak up!

Good things about H&R and MS though!

Thanks. I actually only have an S GT, not a Speed. I am going to search what I can find on them. Gee, you'd think that if you spend that kind of scratch on a suspension kit, you could get free shipping, though. (screwy)

I hear that !!

The Auto EXE kit i believe is for the MPS/speed so b4 you buy check to see if you will have any fitment issues.
