Yep.. I went to another one on Sunday.. there's one this upcoming Sunday too n' that'll be fun and good.
In short, the best time was a 39 something and my best time was a 49 something. I'm pretty content with that.
I had a really nice instructor ride with me every time.. just because he was fun to talk to and he didn't have anything better to do.. and he helped me out a lot.
One run, he even drove while I watched from the passenger seat.. holy s***.. it was amazing what he did with the car. And he said it felt like he was going really slow. His time was a 43 something.. just goes to show you what the MP3's capable of.
It's fun 'cos the people at the autocrosses are starting to recognize me and talk with me a bunch.. and it just makes it that much better, you know?
I can't wait for this Sunday's 'cross tho.. Gulf Greyhound, not this police academy junk..
And how about those police, eh? When the races were done and nearly everybody was gone, these two cops started doing donuts on the track and in the grid.. I was just like..
fags.. but that's how cops are.
You should have seen my mom racing in her Celica.. she had the back end all over the damn place.. sliding everywhere. Pretty fun. She.. well.. tomorrow she might not come home with the Celica though.. ^^ The West Houston Subaru guys are trying really hard to get her to sell the Celica to them and buy a WRX wagon.. I would love to see her race that, mm.. yeah.
There were some good spinouts during the race, of course.. the best was this one BMW.. something.. that came into the stop box way too fast.. lost control.. took out a zillion cones and nearly hit the starter and the car who was waiting to go next..
But now I'm really tired n' I'm goin'.. ^^ glad to see the site back up.. we owe Enry a lot.
