autobarn dealership can suck my *#@*#@

good job on what u wanna write back to them Dex, i couldnt have put it any better. if u need any backup or decide to go back to the AutoShithole feel free to let me know, ill be armed with copies of laws on modified cars and consumer rights and s*** like that. so they'll be so scared theyll s*** their pants and have no choice but to either fix your car if u want or we can go just to prove a point to them assholes. laters man.

I talked to my service manager here at LuJacks Autoplaza in Davenport, IA. He said if you want to bring it in he'll get a new sub for you. Only thing is, it's a 3 hour drive from Chi-Town, and he has to order the sub. These guys here are damn good. The head mazda mechanic has been here for 26 years and he's seen my RX-7 a couple of times, he knows what he's doing and he is the only one that touches the mazdaspeeds. They also sell Benz, Porsche, Lexus blah blah blah, and they'll even keep your car in their garage when its all repaired. They don't leave the s*** outside. And unless you've gone with a full-blown T4 setup, he's not gonna say anything about the TT.

Aurora from Chicago is nothing compared to Davenport :P...

I bought my P5 from AutoBarn in Countryside, and while the sales process was OK, I can't say what the service is like. I'm planning on doing service either at Harold Mazda in Olympia Fields or Community in Oak Forest (both are near my job). Community Mazda's service manager has built up a few RX-7s with aftermarket galore - the dudes at AutoBarn must be idiots.

I'd highly recommend you spending your time, energy, and warranty coverage at a better dealer service center. Where you bought the car and where you get it serviced should be two distinct realities .

Hey thanks for the dealership recommendation kenetix. That gives me another option -- not sure how far Davenport is from central Wisconsin but it's at least 1 decent place in the tri-state friggin' area.

*gets out map*

hell no man, my ******* sub stopped working today!!! I hope the guys at Dobbs Mazda here in memphis are as cool as they usually are and they dont try to pull the same s*** that got pulled with you. Sorry to hear about the s***, we should get together and train some para-military geese to drop tactical shitbombs on autobarn and all of their techs:D

What the hell is wrong with these subs? Mine hasn't conked out yet...but it seems like it might happen...

Alright, finally read through all the posts!

First off,

Dexter - sorry to hear about your dealer, man. You know I'm looking into getting the same TT that you have and I hope my dealer doesn't give me the same trouble.

I got my MSP from Pugi. If you talk to Rich there, he heads up the aftermarket parts for Pugi. He actually looks for aftermarket parts for Pugi and suggests them to customers. So, I'm assuming they'll be cool with people bringing in modded rides. But like MikeyG stated, they are pretty slow about things, not too punctual. For example, I got my windows tinted and Lo Jack there and they said they'll do it in a day, ended up being 3 days.

I haven't checked out Bill Jacobs Mazda in Aurora yet even though I live like a block away from there. But I'll look into their policy and see if they won't give you the same trouble that Autocrap did.

By the way, Bijou - Aurora is like 45 mins - 1 hour from Chicago, just take 290 West straight down. And I actually went to the Schaumburg Mazda dealer to check out their MSP, and not one of the salesman came up to me. Shadey place, I didn't like it one bit. It's ok though, I took a shift nob from them. :p

I got my MSP from pugi also, and was told to talk to Rich about perfoamnce parts and stuff for the car, I was told by my saleman that he can get anything so I assume there pretty cool with stuff like that. Actually one of the service guys drives an Evo and they always have hooked up VW's there. I agree that they aren't the most prompt people in the world but overall I like there service, they don't talk down to you cause your "young and dumb" and they seem to know what there talking about. I've been dealing with the Ast. Service Manager Tony Hastings for about 2 weeks now for my car and he is all about making things right for me and getting my car back to me ASAP, seems like a really nice guy. Dex I say head over to pugi and have your stuff looked at.

lol i drove all the way up to Shaumburg Mazda too, to check out a black one. lol

supposedly Rosen Mazda is really good

the only day i have off in the week is wednesday so its gonna be a long ass time before my damn sub gets fixed. im thinking of either taking it to community or pugi , not sure which yet.

Yeah I heard that too about Rosen Mazda, but I've never been there.

Anyways,

Here's some info on Pugi in case you needed it:

Pugi of Chicagoland
2020 West Ogden Avenue
Downers Grove, IL 60515
(630)964-9500

Ask for Rich. Most likely, you'll have to leave a message. He's usually always, away from his desk or just have him paged, he might be on the floor room.

my family has bought all our mazdas (see signature) from the same salesman. service department knows us well :) i got my foglights aligned free. also have great service on all occasions :)
