Yeah I definitely agree that HID life expectancy is ultimately longer than halogen by a long shot.

IMO, big deal. My dads Audi has like 120k miles with Auto HID's, still has the same bulbs and what not. They turn on when ever you leave the garage. Mine stay on auto.

+1 My mother's BMW 5 also has 120k miles with HIDS and they're left in auto, and work great.

I did the TSX HID projector mod on my WRX, ran it for 26k miles with the auto setting and a little issue with the right side sometimes not coming on, but would only take just turning the lights off and back on again for it to power up.

I'm considering doing the HID aftermarket install soon. Looks easy. I believe same project headlamp set up no? I didn't want the scattered bright as light coming form my car. Has anyone done the upgrade? I've seen photos of Fog light HID upgrades and it looked fantastic (recent post)
