Auto folding door mirrors

I would think it would be a matter of wiring if you were to get your hands on a set of German side mirrors. I loved the folding option on my Bimmer.

CX-5 in Chinese market has this feature by default.
so the aftermarket now has such modules you could buy and install by DIY.

basically, the modules would do auto closing all four passenger windows and auto folding door mirrors.

here is the link but in Chinese:

I want to use my OEM mirrors but will have to source new internal OEM motors from O/Seas, fit them to the mirr and then use the module to operate them...next job sourcing internal motors. Anyone post part number for the mirror motor plz.

Cheers Guys

^ To recap on that. I would like to ask if any of the CX-5 with power folding mirrors have some sort of option in the infotainment to control it, or is it just the mirror knob itself? This is obviously for Euro, Asian, and Aus markets.

Hi

I have power folding mirrors and there is no option in the infotainment to control them. (UK model). It is the switch on the door itself that controls it. What I do (may be just me) is set the switch to unfold the mirrors when I press the ignition button to start. There's not much control although it's better than nothing. There appears to be no way of making the mirrors fold when remotely locking the car unlike my previous Skoda Octavia and Renault Laguna.

Wife's side mirror was just swiped clean off the car here in chicago last week (toyota corolla) so this would be a nice option for these snow days when roads are narrower. Don't park on the street!

I'm always afraid of that as well parking here in NYC since I'm surrounded by assholes. Anyways, I am wondering if the harness to the power folding mirrors are already there and if it is just the matter of buying the power mirrors and the switch panel. Which also has another benefit as it is a whole panel including the window switches. Non-US market window switches are lighted as well. Mazda tends to leave the power harnesses with live connectors for components we may not have in the US, so it could be as simple as plug and play.
