Yellow 2002 P5
Have you found yourself hitting more birds in your car than usual? I have never owned a yellow car before I bought my P5. And I have hit more birds in the last 3 months than I ever have before in my life. What's up with that? Are they attracted to the yellow more than any other color or what. This might sound weird but is this happening to anyone else?

Mines not yellow and it's happening to me as well....but I think it's just from being at the wrong place and the wrong time

My wife drives a yellow Xterra. We've had it for almost five years and haven't hit any birds. The Xterra did attract another vehicle's bumper. Was it a ThunderBIRD?......Hmm, interesting....

I havent hit any animals with my car yet(knock on wood), but i do notice an inordinate amount of bugs on my car compared to others(uhm)

I suppose it depends where you live. I travel up north to visit family, so there is more wildlife since it's less populated so the chance of hitting a bird, etc is greater.

I drive about 200 miles a day and I have for about a year now. The first 9 months....nothing.....no birds. The last 3 months....new yellow car......lots of birds. Maybe birds just don't like me. Maybe I just don't like birds. Either way I thought it was kinda weird. :)

No animals --- but DAMN those bugs -- and i dont mean the ones while driving -- all i have to do is wash the car and they all land on it and sit or mate there -- lol

something about the yellow attracks them ------------------ (uhm)

nope, no birds here. but bugs, all over the car.
they think its a beautiful yellow flower

I've owned three yellow vehicles. 2000 Cougar in Yellow, 2001 Nissan Xterra in Yellow, now a 2002 P5 in yellow. All have hit birds, all bugs think that the vehicles are a place to get busy(Ya Know what I mean). All my vehicles have had bras on them. That just my fetish. My wife has a red 2002 p5 and doesn't get hardly any bugs or anything else for that matter. But wash and wax the yellow p5 with carnuba(Eagle 1) look out.
cheers (drive)

I've been lucky enough to not hit any birds, but my car does seem to get more bird poop on it than other cars in the parking ramp where I work. Maybe the yellow means "bathroom" to birds?

Wow... Why all yellow? I do love the P5 in yellow. It's easy as hell to find my wife's yellow Xterra in the parking lot after shopping. Why a new car every year? Just wondering.

The yellow coug was my wifes, we traded that in for the xterra. Then my s10 was old and tired, so I bought the yellow p5. Then she feel in love with my yellow p5, three weeks after that we bought a red 02 p5. So, I myself have really only had 2 vehicles in five years. We buy the color cause we like it. But obviouly the cops like it too. As I'm going to traffic school for a speeding ticket on Saturday. (hump)

lol! I thought I was the only one with this problem. Yup, it's a giant yellow sunflower to them. My workplace is next to a marsh so you can imagine the problems I have- they cling on all the way home!

Got a custom cover now and it seems to have done the trick.
