Wasn't sure where to post this. But here we go anywayz.

My name is c. I drive a 2002 Mazda Protege5 Turbo.

I am lookin for some sort of sponsorship. I have started entering my car in car shows and haven't placed as high as i would liked it to be. I will be traveling up & down the east coast going to carshows and need some sponsors.

In particular i am lookin for sponsorships for exterior modifications as well as performance modifications.

I have many modifications already done to my ride. And am lookin for some help to put me over the top.

Please look at my sig for details on my p5.

Thanks for your time.

Chas

P.S. Matthew..help me out..You have many sponsorships..I have paid for every single one of my mods. And am runnin out of $$$ as well as reason to even put my car in shows.

Like ive told everyone who has asked before ....

1. Get your car to the level where you can honestly compete for the top awards.

2. Travel to shows -- not just local shows -- shows like HIN, SEMA, etc. The more you travel (out of state) the better it looks to sponsors. More states = more exposure.

3. Make friends in the industry -- this is what Matthew did with DGM and landed a sponsor with them.

4. Write up a proposal that gives companies info about you, the car, and how you can help them. Matthew helps all these companies sell product on the boards and they reward him with sponsorships. Companies wont give you stuff unless you can help them.

5. Take better pics .. cam phone pix dont work too well :) and neither do pix with wires and stuff hangin all over (that one of your shift knob)

6. Talk to companies (hopefully throughout the show season you have made some good friends/contacts) to see what they are looking for and submit the proposal.

Also if you want to email me a copy of your sponsorship proposal I can take a look at it and tell you what changes you might want to make.

Most places wont advertise that they are looking. Call and ask who to send it to and see what happens.

I realize that. :p

But what i meant to really say..was that if anyone who is reading this..and possibly knows a company lookin for cars..than to holla at me!

enter big shows, where all the vendors are, such as hin, world of wheels, import face off, import showcase, import revolution, tunner trek, street styles import show and many more..win or loose keep going and take pictures of your car in the show and make a portfolio, record every dollar spent on your car, progress pictures and mileage traveled to attend shows. if a vendor constantly sees you attending, they will get curious. don't be shy, go up and introduce yourself. let them know your plans and intentions

i'm pretty sure sponsors also frown upon tazmanian devil floormats.
I would also ditch the "custom" mudflaps ... and its time to upgrade to some 18s. If you were going for a JDM class it would be ok to run like 16-17" rims, but you are nowhere near being a JDM car.

Why ditch the cutom mudflaps? They are both very functional and good looking. I have recieved numerous complements about them. I just need to get a new pair..this pair..is getting ragedy (sp?).

About the rims..I def want some..but I have to roll my fenders first. To get the best fitment!
