compressor surge really isn't a big deal but OVERTIME it will reduce the life of the turbo, although your engine probably won't last as long as the turbo so it doesn't matter. Speaking of "turkey", anyone see taht video of the guy that hooked up a real turkey caller to his bov, so when it let air out it was turkey sound!

i don't care because no matter where i go, what city i'm in, where i park my car, or drive around, SOMEONE asks me how the hell they can get their car to "turkey", some people in my school call me superturkey hence my sig. s*** half the people who ask don't even have turbos, and thdon't believe me when i tell them all i have is an intake, they're like no what BOV is that? i tell them to do their research. i have a question though, my friend gave me a diverter vale (TURBO-XS) that he had on his GTi, because he got another one, (waste of money IMO) and on the site it says made to replace some other Bosch diverter valve (25mm/1inch) or whatever, anyway question is, is it possible to put this on my car? and if so, would it make any difference in the sound? or should i sell the dam thing? only asking because it was given to me... here's a link

Even my turbo contour has the turkey at low boost. Not nearly as loud as my mazdaspeed though.

Well i'll answer you question. It really depends, you gonna have to try it. The main setback is that the diverter valve has no adjustment screw for the spring, or at least this is what I am led to believe. Also do you an intake like the injen? If you want PM me and I'll help you the best I can.
