Over 600HP out of the V10 under the hood. The all-new COBRA!!

They will have the Mustangs under $30,000. This new Cobra is said to cost around $90,000, and the Ford GT is retailing near $150,000.00. No other American maker stands a chance! Ha!! Will they build this new Cobra? I say, they will.

Copying the Miata??!! I doubt the Miata was even mentioned during the design stages. (chair) But; different people will see different things in an all new design, I guess.

It is a unique design, to be sure, and I do have mixed emotions. Carroll Shelby said himself (and he helped design it), that he will kick anyone's ass that says it's anything like the original. This is the all new Cobra.

Still; I would rather have a 'new' Original design. Even if it was a Superformance Cobra (which is a really, really good one), or an ERA, or a Unique Motorcars.

All of the above are 427 Cobras. Personally; I would love a 289 FIA Cobra (below in Blue). The Red Cobra is a 427.

Saw C&D show once where they ran a Shelby Cobra SuperComp around the track a few times. I can't remember the exact engine size (big blk ~500ci) but the thing put out 630hp and could barely idle. There's nothing like the sound of a cammed out big block blap-blap-blap-blap ... mmmm, music to my ears!

Yeah! It was a 427. Absolute beasts!!!! For many, many years; the Cobra 427 held all the records for production cars. 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds (on street tires), and 0-100-0 mph in 13.8 seconds. Nothing even came close.
