Are TomTom POI's a POS?

Good day,

It might be me - but I have a terrible time finding POI's with Tomtom. I had a 10 year old garmin before this that was much better. For example, in a new city looking for the hospital I get all kinds of choices when only one exists. They all look like it was keyed in by a kid. Or for those in Ontario I type LCBO (again in a new city) and it doesn't even find it.

I find it really aggravating and wonder if I turned on user entered Poi instead of standard ones?

Please tell me it's me!

I'm thinking of turning off community updates. If anything, just to eliminate the clutter. The worse example was 5 Chevron gas stations in a 2KM stretch on our road trip this past summer. Entering destination points has failed about 50% of the time. A few times they lead me into cul-de-sacs or dead-end streets. I just laugh. Wife thinks the car is crazy.

Yes their POIs suck ass.
I search on my phone, then type in the address in the TomTom if I need to.
