Are the Turbos serialized?

Does anyone know if there is a serial number on the stock turbos? I have 2 MS6's and the one that is out of warrenty started smoking really bad today. You all know what I am thinking about doing so I dont have to say.

Nah, they're not serialized, but swapping TWO stock turbos is a ton of work that is essentially fruitless as even a new OEM turbo WILL leak and smoke a bit. I recommend you just go with a BNR and you will not regret it.

yeah it may be alot of work but its free. If I am gonna spend 1200 on a turbo I am doing a full upgrade. I am just thinking about prolonging it for a little while.

LOL.... Actually it is a lot of work, but you HOPE it's free. Aftermarket turbos are a sure win. BTW, the BNR Stage3 is essentially a 2871 with equivalent performance and MUCH cheaper than a ATP 2871. I blew the injector seals seals with mine on the dyno, so it will produce more power than my initial dyno results.

My next major improvement is an ATP GT3076R, but I'm not feeling it yet....

I am going to contact BNR today to see what power levels can be expected with the stage 3 I just want 320+whp if that can be done just might do that. I was trying to prolong this until I leave for Afghanistan so I can do the ATP 3076 kit.

After talking to BNR and realizing I dont want to spend a ton of cash I am ordering the BNR Stage 3 turbo today.
