Are SS Brake Line stiil good?

I was changing my brake rotors and saw that the front right SS Brake Line's plastice clear cover was torn. I dont think that any fluid has leaked. Is the brake line still good? Can I use something to cover the torn plastice cover?

The line is fine, you'd KNOW if it was damaged. The plastic cover is simply to protect the braids from debris getting lodged in between them. Some lines don't even have that plastic cover (Goodridge for example). Put some electrical tape or something around the part that's torn if it worries you.

Joe, said it. Your lines are fine. As long as the SS material isn't frayed, the lines should be good.

Thanks guys, just wanted to make sure it was still good. Dont want the brakes to go out while driving.
