Are CX-5 and CX-50 brake components interchangeable?

How did you improve the ground system? Added some bonding straps? Could you share some info on this? Maybe pictures? I'm thinking about adding some too.

I added a ground wire from the cylinder head to the chassis on our 2024 CX 5 T. I've been doing this mod on other gas burners for many years. 90% of the time it has product gains in power and gas mileage. On newer cars, the ground systems have improved so I was curious what would happen on the Mazda.

In the past I use to measure at WOT much like the other aftermarket folks. Until today, I never ran a road test. I have a section of interstate I can run on CC and log the results on my phone using Torque Pro. This is where I ran the test today, with and without the grounding.

What was the purpose of these, and how did they help?

I suggest 2 grounds, one near #1 and #4 cylinders. With the lights and ac fan on high I've measured 20.0 Amps through these 4awg grounds. I noticed another bump in performance after adding a 2nd ground.

Our 2.5lT is loving the cooler weather. FE is up about 1.5 MPG. Temps are in the 70s F vs 90s...yeah

We got 24.8 MPG hand calculated, all intown driving. My wife put on 90% of the miles going back and forth to the hospital to stay with our grandson. I TRIED to follow her the other day. She accelerates much, much faster than I and was about out of sight!

This tuned for daily driver turbo makes great power right in the DD sweet spot. So I don't blame her....

The hospital is less than 5 miles from the house and she has to deal with downtown traffic and parking garage. Her head is not into...

Rather than muck up this thread we could take it to a thread I started some time ago.

Since starting the grounding thread I added a ground to the trans. I had noticed better shifts on a BENZ Nag1 and Dodge 48re. I wasn't surprised the Mazda responded as well.

Adding grounds to efi race car cylinder heads has become standard procedure.

We even grounded our 5.9 Cummins cylinder head for a bump in FE...

I'm surprised you guys are interested! Most dismise this inexpensive FE and performance bump. I'll help anyway I can.
