Apple CarPlay not included

Hi I just bought a CX-5 2017 and it doesn’t come with CarPlay so I bought the retrofit kit on Amazon but my issues is that my car doesn’t have CarPlay installed in the applications menu. Does anyone know how to install CarPlay into the CMU?

You have to install updated infotainment software. I forget the needed version for wired CarPlay support, but someone here can probably provide it. After the update, the cable and plug area can be installed

You first need to update your system at least 70.00.100 firmware

Donwload it to a regular usb memory, then load it to ur system to update

So later then you have to buy/install the new usb/adapter with carplay feature…. Your original usb adapter (the one that came from factory in your CX5 DOES NOT SUPPORT CarPlay/Android Auto…
