Yesterday I got my Apexi N1 Universal exhaust (n/a) installed. The only problem is it is not flush with the rear end like the stock one. In fact it is an 1 1/2 or so sticking out and appears to be pointed down some. He said thats how it is supposed to look because it was so long. I think he didn't want to spend more time on it and re-weld the hangers. Any ideas guys?

I have a digitail camera and will try and post pics tomorrow or Friday when my springs get put on.

hey,

if you can post pics that'll be great. the N1 is the muffler i've chosen for my exhaust mods down the track, so i'd love to see how it looks.

anyway, sounds like you need your hangers redone or you need some new pipe to allow the muffler to be pulled back in. my answer - get a full exhaust system done (hehehehe), that way it'll sit exactly where you want it.

find a better exhaust shop they shoudl be able to put that muffler where you want it. When i got my Apex'i dunk muffler installed the guy told me "ok hold it where you want it and I will bend the pipe in place and weld it up. It is in there perfectly you wouldn't know it was a custom job...

I looked at it in more detail when I was installing my springs. unfortanlty my digi camera was with my friend. As soon as I get it I can take pictures. It looks like it is back pretty far but I don't think they could get around the angle the stock muffler was at.
