Installed Sound Deadening

:
2016 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone,

So I installed sound deadening to all four doors on my 2016 CX-9. Honestly, it wasn’t as difficult as I thought. The part that was hardest (in my opinion) was trying to remove the clips that were still stuck to the door, even though the door panel was off.

I attached two videos below, one showing the front door and the other showing the rear.

I have the Grand Touring trim with the Bose sound system, so this will allow you guys to see the woofer and the midrange speakers.

The reason why I did this mod was due to rattling in the door that was driving me insane. I like to listen to rap/hip-hop, which have a lot of bass and every time there was a low-end frequency, the door would rattle. After applying the sound deadening, the rattle is gone.

I’m broke, hence why I installed the Amazon basics sound deadening, but it seems like money well spent as of right now.

I'm unsure why I cannot upload the videos, but if anyone wants to see the videos or would like some tips/help, feel free to dm me!

I'd be more than happy to help!

I wrote this guide up a while ago, it may help with uploading. The screenshots may be a little out of date, but the general idea should still be the same. Hope it helps!

I've actually been thinking about investigating some door panel rattles of my own lol. Same issue for me, with certain frequencies I'll get the odd rattle. I can get it to go away if I press on the door panel in specific areas.

Let me know if you guys want me to record an installation video. The removal of the door panel was straightforward (I was sh*tting my pants trying not to break any clips)

Yeah, at first, I could make the rattles go away when I pushed on the door panel using my knee, but after a while, the rattles began occurring on the front passenger-side door. I'm not built like Shaq, where I can sit in the driver's seat and press on the passenger side door panel lmao, so I just went ahead and installed the sound deadening. It has been almost 3 weeks since the installation, and there are no more rattles. Also, it seems the cabin is much quieter, which I need since I live in NYC.
