Forgive me for this stupid question (but I am new to all of this). Is there any way to run this setup with our stock bpv so that you get the sound and no stalling.

yes there is, do a search for dual setup or dual bov/bpv

There are ways of running a dual setup, but by looking at this one it wouldn't quite work. You cannot run both a BPV and a BOV on the same line, if you did I would imagine you would have to put the BOV before the BPV that way it would bleed off some air and whatever else makes it by can leak back into the system, but I don't really see that way as functional.

There are many people that put a BOV on the cold side pipe up near the throttle body or at least nearest to it as they can, then they leave the stock hot side BPV where it is and they have no problems with stalling at all.

Yeah, some people will stall with the same exact setup as others that don't stall, welcome to the world of the Mazdaspeed.

My dealer told me once that I could put on hardpipes and that's it, no BOV no different BPV but hardpipes were ok. The understood that the stock pipes here in Vegas were breaking on a few cars and told some others they could do that if they wanted. Get it in writing from the Service Manager.

ill take a soundclip of mine today and post it so u can hear if u want. mine sounds perfect

I sold my Forge BOV to a guy over the weekend that has a second gen turbo Subaru. He's had no problems stalling yet like I had on mine. Go figure.

i was looking at this too, sent the an email they said it alone wouldnt get rid of the turkey, but would reduce it.

i vent it with a single valve setup tapped off the brake booster ive never stalled n rpms drop to 800 and stay there. blows off pretty damn loud.

I will have the dual setup soon. Keeping the Stock BPV from the hot side, and having a BOV mounted on a hardpipe on the cold side. Would it be better to use the brake booster line for the BOV or just "T" off the stock BPV line. I already have a "T" connecting the stock BPV to a boost guage, and I don't want to overuse one line. thanks.

the bov should always have a dedicated vac. source. so yes id tap off the bb. plus the valve will be twice as loud.
