AP noob question

Just got the AP installed today. I am on a bone stock 2007 MS3 so I am running the stage 1 93 octane map.

I am going to go out and log some data, and wanted to get advice on how I should setup those runs.

Also I was watching the different monitors, and had a question about actual AFR. Most of the time it sits around 14.4 - 14.6, but in city and highway driving the range it covered was from 9.8 - 29.3... Is the 29.3 spike normal or is this something I should worry about and have the local cobb guys look into tuning?

I have a CAI coming soon so I would like to wait to tune until after that

Logged a few short runs... looks like the actual AFR goes WAY up when I drop off the throttle so I assume that is just because the fuel is dropping out from the lack of throttle and the ECU is adjusting it back to 14.6 once it realizes no fuel is being added... Could be wrong, but I will post some logs tomorrow after I get a chance to do a 4th gear full throttle run.

ok do you understand how afr works? the lower the number the more fuel you have(aka rich), the higher the number the less you have (aka lean).
log the following
accel. ped
rpm
knock retard
mass air flow
throttle position
actual afr
di fuel pressure
boost
spark advance
wastegare dude cycle

post you log in attachment.

read read read on there, much more informative for what your trying to find out. dont make a thread before extensively searching or they may eat you up

put my log up here: https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...XwFwbdDNfTGZ2aEpYeG5qaDhzanh4TWJFeGc&hl=en_US

Let me know if you want any columns added to the pivot table (check the second tab at the bottom for the concise view). I am running a 93 octane stage 1 stock map (no SF yet) on a gen1 speed 3.

OK! ...

From what I see, there are maybe a few extra variables we don't necessarily need, unless you'd like to keep them on your logs.

From now, these would suffice, (also, the newer maps having a better resolution, although I have a gen2, and cannot yet confirm this)

AFR
Calculated load
Spark advance
Boost
KR
LTFT's
Throttle position
Boosted air temps
Di fuel pressure
RPM

I noticed a few things in your logs, the first is the KR, which imo needs addressing eventually. In general, Cobb's recommendation is to eventually see KR < 1 in most cases, but while we were testing maps on another forum, KR < 2 and for brief durations was the threshold when they were tweaking the OTS maps.

The other thing I noticed is that your fuel trims are a bit high.

Have you done an maf calibration (and if so, when did you flash the map...i.e. withing the last 50 miles?)
