4 49er Member : 2003 Mazda Protege Jan 5, 2017 #1 I already know it's the head gasket. I've never worked on a P5 other than standard fluid changes, brakes, etc... so is there anything that tends to be troublesome on this model or that I should know before attempting it? Thank you.

Good one, might wanna replace your waterpump and timing stuff too while you have it all apart. Clean egr too.

N NaturalFlavored : Mazda P5 Jan 5, 2017 #6 Don't forget the rear motor mount. Will be easy with everything out of the way.
