I was gonna get the stage two and chickened out and went with stage 1 lol.
I drive in traffic almost everyday it sucks

From what I hear, they're not too bad. You're right though, it will be a bit grabby when trying to slip it. Anything "pucked" will do that, then add the friction surface in to the mix... You'll be fine, but it makes winter driving very interesting when your clutch is an "on / off " switch. You'll be fine, just baby it for 300-600 miles.

its a stage two clutch come talk to me about driveability when yer running a twin disc.. this thing wont be bad at all, but there is a lot of bad mojo that comes with the exedy stage 2 on just about any make and model car that they are made for.

its a 3 puck.... so by definition is gonna be a lil rough.

less surface to transfer the rotation of the flywheel, lil room for that slippage u need to get the car rolling smoothly (ride the clutch)

either way, lmk how u like it, i may be gettin one myself

Why does it suck? I have the same clutch and I don't have any issues or complaints. I drive in rush hour to and from work 5 days a week. If there was any point in getting a stage 2 for a stock fs-de I would have. But frankly it's unnecesary, lol.

OP: Usually you don't have driveability issues until you get to a stage 3, at least in my experience. Your foot/leg will probly get a little tired the first few days you are in stop & go traffic, but you will get used to it. Driving in snow is probly the only thing that will make it a bit "touchy."

thx to all , kinda maked me happy knowing that its not going to be that bad , i should of cheched before i bought it haha ,
and the best part is that im not living in a big city with intense rush hours and im storing my p5 in the winter so :) (y) its all good. thx again folks

To be completely honest that is way overkill! I'm running a stage 1 and am way over what it was rated for and still holding close to 350whp.

No I meant it sucks that I have to drive in traffic everyday lol.
I have not installed my clutch yet.

I just bought my MSP the other day and the previous owner told me he put in a stage 2 clutch a few months ago and I love the feel of it. But that's assuming the guy wasn't lying to me.

yea well i dont really care cuz i have a good connection and i get all at cost so i got that one at 420 + tx canadian witch is like 350 us... so i tought might as well go with a ceramic

No reason to get an unsprung clutch. That's rough on the tranny, more so than necessary. What are your power and more importantly, torque goals ? The Exedy stage 1 really is a great clutch. My Spec stage 3+ was such over kill, and a pain in the ass to drive daily, coming from someone who's been driving nothing but manual for 12 years.

EDIT: I had several ACT's on my sr20's, and those were very decent. I like the Exedy S 1 more though.

sweet, good to hear the stage one holds that good, i got a stage 1 SPEC and it chatters a little sometimes but besides that its pretty much just like stock cept firmer

stage 2 is going to stink driving everyday lol but im sure boost will make it better

the clutch isnt unsprung.. its not a solid unit ... its a heavyduty six springs unit.
im planning going over 300wph but progresivly ... im not forging this winter ... no money ... ill forge next winter but i wanted to have the right clutch to hold the futur power lol

and your clutch that was a pain to drive was a stage 3plus so yea that was way overkill i think like u said
and a stage 2 im supose to have a little slip on the clutch , less that a stage 1 but way more than a stg 3 ... so its more for the plesure of driving stick that i chose a stg 2 rather than a stage 1 ... just to put some more feeling riding my car. ouff that was a long speach haha(sleep)

That was directed at BoostedSpeed, sorry haha. Good luck on your build, and with 300whp in the plans, I'd start looking at a gt30 and some tranny building.

i love my exedy- and i love how my car preforms after i um blew out the factory clutch- make sure make sure make sure that this little ****** is alligned right or else youre going to **** over the pressure plate- HOWEVER exedy has a one year warranty on their clutch, so burn away if you do so choose. but i like it. plus you get one of those fun stickers to put underneath your hood. vroom vroom.
