Thinking of buying a brand new 2012 MX-5.
However, the short test drives at the dealership don't let me get a good feel of the car. No car rental agency rents out MX-5's. I checked with Avis, Enterprize, Hertz, and some others. It is a big purchase and I plan to keep whatever I buy until it dies of high mileage. So it is very important that I pick the right car for me.
Is anyone willing to let me borrow it for 1 day. I am willing to pay $30/day, which is $10 more than what a car rental agency charges for small-intermediate cars. I just want to drive it to work and back home. I am stuck in traffic a lot so I want to know how it would feel in a 1 hour commute with 30 minutes of traffic jams.
Looking to test out a manual transmission only. Hard top or soft top it does not matter. I heard that you can barely tell the interior sound difference between the two.
I am located in Philadelphia, PA. I have full coverage insurance that covers me if I am driving someone else's car. I would refill the gas to where it was. Let me know.
