Just wondering if anyone painted there calipers yet. I can't think of what color to paint them. I don't want it to be super flashy or anything. I figured maybe just something close to the titanium, just so they dont rust and get nasty. Any opinions on color?

just plain ole black, or a nice laser blue would set them off nice, i think...also, if you have one of those pinstripes, maybe paint it close to that color

no pinstripes on my baby :( I love the blue but It would just look odd, since nothing else is blue I think. I do love blue though :D I'm trying to keep the car semi-subtle.

I painted mine blue, and it looks pretty sharp. Only the front ones are done so far, but I'll try to get a pic up in the next day or two. Of course, I don't think you'd want to be an exact matching twin of the other Titanium MSP around central NJ :p

I wanted to do that to my tittanium too, but I never done it before. Do I have to take the tire off or is it possible to do it without. What kind of paint do i use?

Hey guys be careful when you paint your calipers. When I did mine I spent a good 20 mins. with a wire wheel on the rotors taking rust and what not off. Then put rust protection paint along with a coat of high temp. paint on, it has been about 3 months and it is chipping again.

I took the wheels off, and cleaned up the calipers (didn't need too much cleaning, only 800 miles on the car). I papered/taped off everything in the wheel well to prevent overspray.

I sprayed 1200 degree paint directly on the caliper, it took 5 thin coats to look good. About 20 minute wait between coats. Then, I sprayed high-temp clear coat over it (two coats).

maybe this sounds pretty stupid, but being that everything in the interior is accented with yellow, maybe???

Don't know, I'll do one up in photoshop today and post it.

Well, you definitely have to go with high-temp paint. Some people have had problems even with 500 degree paint; that's why I used 1200 degree.

post pics of the blue when it's done.

btw, the calipers come painted on the speeds already. unlike the older mp3's which never.

Here is one with yellow calipers

Hrm, not ugly, but not what I would put on my car. I like the yellow however you see nothing yellow on the out side of the car, so IMO, it looks funny and stands out. Not a bad PhotoChop SaaBaaDoo :)

thanks ********! I'd hope it's not bad considering I use photoshop to make a living, amonst other graphics programs:)

The blue I have is a *tiny* bit darker than that, but it looks pretty similar. Of course I only have the front ones painted so far.
