You can get the j-spec intake cam (FSH9 casting #) from srmotorsports.com that they are calling a "Mazdaspeed" cam (which doesnt exist, its a j-spec out of the FS-ZE) , where i got mine. You can also get what they are calling a "Mazdaspeed" exhaust cam. All the information i have found on the "Mazdaspeed" exhaust cam points to it being one thing, a repinned intake cam 180* with the casting numbers ground off of it. Whether its a J-Spec intake cam or a factory intake cam i dont know.
All the specs are right here:
The stock intake cam - Lift- .344 Duration- 198* @.050
The stock exhaust cam - Lift- .323 Duration- 200* @ .050
"Mazdaspeed" Intake cam from srmotorsports:
The J-Spec cam (FSH9) which i installed is - Lift- .344 Duration- 210* @.050
"Mazdaspeed" exhaust from srmotorsports:
If its the stock intake repinned- Lift .344 Duration- 198* @.050
If its a J-Spec intake repinned - Lift .344 Duration- 210* @.050
ALOT OF THIS INFORMATION CAME FROM THEMANS FAQ (and other threads) WHICH CAN BE READ HERE -
TheMans PROTEGE FAQ PAGE
EDIT- Corksport at one time was mentioning that they were going to be doing either copies of the "Mazdaspeed" exhaust cam, or custom grind exhaust cams, they still have the J-Spec intake as far as i know.
ALSO WHEN I MENTION MAZDASPEED IN THIS POST I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE CAMS IN THE MAZDASPEED PROTEGE. ALTHOUGH THESE CAMS WILL FIT IN THE 2.0L MAZDASPEED PROTEGE THEY DO NOT COME IN THESE CARS. MAZDASPEED IS A BRAND.
