Anyone tried out iOS 7 yet to see if bluetooth is working better?

Just checking to see if there are any iPhone developers in the mix here that have tried iOS 7 yet with bluetooth to see if we have shuffle again, etc. Since it is still in beta, Apple might be slightly (ever so) more receptive to a bug note for our iPhone/CX-5 bluetooth issues.

That sucks. Ugh. Thanks for the update.

Are you a developer? Can you post a bug report? I have an iPod Touch with iOS 5 on it and it shuffles fine via bluetooth. My iPhone 5...not so much as we all know. It is definitely something that was introduced in iOS 6 and seemingly carrying over to iOS 7.

I'm sick of Apple saying it is Mazda and Mazda saying it is Apple with the bluetooth and usb issues. As a consumer, I couldn't give a **** who's fault it is. Both of them need to put on their big boy pants and work like civilized people to fix the issue. Spending lots of money on tech package that does not work properly with one of the most popular phones out there is not something I'm happy about.

Couldn't agree with you more. I am a Developer and have noted the issue and posted a bug report. I hope apple fixes this issue in a revision of the Bluetooth.

I also personally feel the Infotainment software is a bit outdated in the CX-5.

There are notes in iOS 7 beta 4 that some shuffle aspects have changed. I have it on my iPhone 5 but haven't tried it, maybe it's fixed now?

I'm on IOS7 beta6 and can't say I've had any Bluetooth issues at all, in fact it's fixed some issues I had.... No idea about shuffle though, don't use it!

I'm on iOS beta 6 now and I still have issues with the BT.

1. Still no MAP (car can detect that there is a new message, but cannot read them)
2. Still a ~2 second audio delay when playing music.
3. For some reason in some calls (not all of them) the music will start playing in the background. Very annoying.
4. The car still likes to try an start my music from the first song in my library.

I believe all of these issues are related to the car itself and will have to be fixed by Mazda. The MAP encryption problem is Apple's fault, but Mazda should have been aware of this anyways.

how do you choose your albums hands free?

Tbh, yes the way that works does annoy me, I have an iPod Nano that lives in the car for audio playback and don't bother trying it through iPhone. I don't see that as a Bluetooth issue though, that I believe is an issue with how the iPhone organises folders internally.

Wow...iOS7 is officially out now and my CX-5 won't even connect to my iPhone. Thanks for the crap update, POS7... Going to delete my old connection altogether, and retry after work.
Another thing I noticed is that with the new Podcast feature, sometimes the iPhone decides to play a different podcast than what I select.

My iPhone 4 with iOS 7 connects to the CX-5 over BT, yes, but it's a tad buggier than before. Sometimes the headunit will only display "Unknown artist, unknown album, unknown song" or something until I manually pick something to play on the iPhone. Sometimes it works as before, and sometimes (using the Songza app) I can't skip a track.

I haven't done any troubleshooting yet.

I have a Kenwood car stereo that does the same things with my iPhone, with iOS 5 & 6 (haven't updated to 7 yet, will do today!). It seems to me that this is an issue with Apple, not the Mazda system. (I don't have a Mazda yet, but I'm looking at the CX5 GT to replace my Toyota Yaris!)

I'm having the same Bluetooth shuffle problem with iOS7, iPhone 4S, and Mazda CX-5. Sometimes if I plug in the Aux cord, set the car input to Aux, shuffle on the iPhone, unplug, and set the car input to Bluetooth, it works (i.e., stays shuffled). Sometimes it doesn't. It never works if I do things in a different sequence.
