Just curious if anyone has attached an iPod of any generation to either audio system and what the results were? If the compatibility is better than MP3s on a USB stick I may just pick up a used one to keep in the car.
Hooked up a Generation 4 Nano to one of the USB ports and it worked fine on my 3 hour drive home from picking up my 3 s GT. Went through Playlist, Artist, whatever - no problems at all.
I've been using my 80GB iPod Classic since I purchased the car last Thursday. It works fine and hasn't forgotten where I left off, yet, and I don't go to the trouble of disconnecting it before shutting the car off, or even changing the source. Sometimes I get an error message that it can't resume, but then it does so, anyway.
I've tried a 3rd gen Nano and a 5th gen iPod. Both work fine for the most part. Occasionally it takes a while to re-establish the connection when the car has been turned off. Once I got an error saying the device is incompatible with the system, but after turning the car off for a few minutes, the system reset and worked just fine.
