Anyone see this Sprint Booster?

I don't think so. All it does, if I understand the product properly, is to change the response curve of your accelerator pedal. It makes the fly-by-wire more touchy when you change position of the pedal. It does not change anything in the engine management. It does not produce more power.

Here is a pretty objective analysis of the product from a Mercedes owner who took the time to do some very objective testing.

Unless this product has changed a lot recently, this is not a reflash or a tune or any kind of actual engine management system.

MSMS3, that was quite interesting. Thanks for the effort to share with us.
My tuner said i really have no need to send more voltage to open the throttle plate further as the gains would be small at best. I think CPE also saw little gain. Damn good question and damn good answer. I wonder how long till some of the better automotive magazines continue to advertise the Sprint booster?

Good question ericrap. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Even a theoretical marginal gain from throttle opening speed going WOT from a stop would make no difference in our cars. With our FWD layout we easily overpower the front tires. And that's with torque limitation in first and second gear. Hell, the ECU will not us produce more than about 130 hp or so in first gear now, and for good reason. More power from a dig ain't the answer for us. We need TRACTION! I can bust 'em loose in a power shift to third gear and sometimes chirp them in fourth now. I don't need a touchy throttle when I'm already having to feather the damn thing in the lower gears.

I read a review in some magazine that did mention throttle response was better. Maybe it depends on the vehicle and the stock ecu. I do agree with you the car has plenty power in the early gears and it takes some concentration to launch the thing. I was getting beat by 14 second cars because i could not get moving! We remapped my boost based on rpms and i have better luck not destroying the front tires but i recall when i had the stock tires it was silly smokiness. Kinda miss that.

I was told by few caliber srt-4 owners that it helped a lot their 60 foot performance in drag racing... May not be true tough. Its not a power upgrade, it just help the electronic throttle to be similar to a normal one
