Anyone ride a recreational vehicle?
This summer me and my buddie built a track for our bikes using a bobcat! it is a hell of a good time. nothing too big but this is the first time we have ever built a track or anything like that. we needed something to do and this was a great summer project. there is still lots things that need to be done to it before it is complete but that will not happen this summer since winter is soon comming. We got mostly everything done to make it a track just need to add things inbetween corners and jumps like whoops doubles etc... we picked out some land on one of my farms and went to town. The place that we picked used the natural terrain as much as possible so that we would have to do less digging as possible. we were out this last weekend and it will probly be out last time this year. I thought i would get my gf to take some pics for us and they turned out great! take a look and tell me what you think.

Post your pics too!!!! if you have any

P.S. I am in the red with the cr and my buddy nate is in the green with the kx

oh man thats friggin' insane! I love watching people riding bikes but I will never get on one......as my grandfather used to say: "Anything thats between the legs is not a transport"

I wasn't riding drunk in this pic if that's what you think, my buddy came over and I was somehow for some reason drinking and in my boxers...haha! So I thought I would jump on for a pic............

you like that dont ya!?! (rofl)
thats the exact phrase from my grandpa, hehe and Im sticking with it, unless a girl wants to ride me.

Once I get to Vegas I'm looking into getting a used dual-sport.... I know it's a compromise but I want something I can jet around town on and/or get to some trails (don't have a truck). Plus, I'm scared shitless of actually jumping anything. :D

cool. duel sports are kinda gay but in your case you really have no choice. i dont have a truck eather but luckly my buddy does otherwise i dont know what i would do. jumping isnt that bad. this is the first summer i really rode to be honest with you. i used to ride bikes when i was a kid alot and we would jump curbs and whatnot so i think that that kinda helped me a bit but i suprised myself at how much i progressed his summer on my motorcycle!! the one thing though is you have to be basically fearless. you have to be awarte that things can happen but you have to progress at your own pace and to what you are confertable with. it is not as bad as you would think.

Dude, I can't tell you how many times someone out here has almost run me off the road. My wife can tell you that as well since she's a rider as well. Dual Sports are cool and all but in Vegas I just don't know.

I've got pocketbikes...cheap, fun, and pretty dangerous if you're being stupid...Kinda tough to find decent places to ride though. I hardly ever get out. I like to tinker with them though. fun little 2 stroke motors.

My current "dirtbike" is a XR50. It's good fun. My road bike is a KTM Duke. I did a hare scramble on a friends Cannondale 400 but I hit a tree and messed my shoulder up in like the first mile so I couldn't finish the race.

Can't possibly be a worse motorbiking town that Atlanta (not that I own a bike here-- I have some experience.... well a few months worth anyway).

I figure on say a KLR650 at least you'd be much more noticable eye-level wise in trafffic. (boom07) Maybe?
Or are you saying I need something with better manueverability and braking?
