anyone know if 17" 6 wheels fit a speed3?

i got a set of 17" wheels from my old 6. stock sport wheels

i know the pattern is the same, but how about the offset? using a 215-50-17 blizzak will it rub cuz of offset?

I would think that it does, since i am running 16's right now.

I had 13.1 inch brakes on my GTI 1.8T with 17s. I think they'd be fine.
