Am I missing something here? When I had to replace my passenger's side Rear bearing last year, Mazda sold me the whole hub, with the bearing already in it. Are they different for the front and rear? I paid about $130 for the part and $20 for a tire shop to put it in. I watched him do it and it took him less than 10 minutes. He took off the wheel, removed the center nut on the hub, took then entire hub/disc assembly out, swapped out the hub (the entire piece behind the brake disc, and put it all back together.
I originally tried to do it at home, but I didn't have the tools (broke my ratchet trying to loosen the hub nut).
You guys are talking about a bearing press. Is this only for the front then? Cause one wasn't needed on mine.
OR.....
Did I get ripped off in buying a hub when I only needed a bearing?
(was the parts guy bs-ing me?)
