I have this problem, as well as my rotors have been turned 2 times at the dealer b.c they were warped. They told me I needed new pads, but they still look pretty thick. I am going to try the lube on the holders. I usually put this blue goopy stuff and hopefully that will do the trick.

i took my car into the dealer and told them about the braking noises. they looked at it and said its a result of my 'spirited' driving...thats what he put in the report. he said its not a big deal and that the rotors are just glazed and my pads are still good. he said they're fine for now, but i should have them turned when i get new pads or something. i dunno... If i get the rotors turned now, i have to get new pads anyway right? or can i use the same pads...? I just can't take the noise anymore when i'm braking...its seriously ******* annoying...

As far as changing the brake pads after turning your rotors, the answer is yes IMHO.

How can they tell if your a spirited driver or not. Look at my sig, no dealership has ever told me that.

Yeah, I dunno how they can tell...i'm pretty easy on the brakes. I think its just an excuse if you ask me, but who knows. Maybe they are a little 'glazed' but I dont think they would be warped at 20K miles. It just sucks that I'd have to get new pads, when the ones I have on right now still have a lot left on em. I dunno if I should get another set of OEM pads or some aftermarket ones...but then if I get aftermarket pads, I dunno how well they'd do on the stock rotors....

Hawks all the way from what I've read...It's the crappy pads that are ******* up the rotors on all the msps including mine. New rotors/pads from Mazda and the problem is back in about 10k miles.

Well the grinding/gurgling noise has disappeared for me. And now, in it's place, warped rotors!! w00t

I'm just gonna deal with it until the pads need replacing, then get a set of aftermarket rotors and pads...I don't want to deal with Mazda OEM brakes again.

are you going to just get new front pads and rotors, or rears also? my rears seem fine...
