Anyone have more specs on the MSM?

well my friend just bout one and all i have to say is bye bye vtec and bye bye ls1 for that matter, the car ******* moves. on the other hand the turbo is a non ball bearing turbo and only kicks in at about 4000 rpms and the car redlines at 6500 so not much turbo room, but again no mustang or honda will ever keep up! we even raced a vette down 355N tollway here in chicago and we kept up, i would say a few minor upgrades and the vette would be trying to keep up with us. oh yeah and it handles awsome, mainly becouse they used a full 99 miata setup...just my .02

All being said.. . it's still a heckuva blast to drive.. You're not going to beat it for $$$/fun with any other new car out there.
Neon SRT4. cheaper, faster, quicker. enough said.

hehe tony...the SRT-4 may be cheaper and faster...but it still isn't as handsome or as fun to drive...the miata can do donuts :)

p.s.- keith...did you lose your password or something ?

Yup, there's more to life than hp. Handling is the fun part. I don't really have much of an opinion on the handing abilities of stock Miatas - I almost never get to drive them that way!

MAZDAKINDAGUY03, if you're beating Mustangs with a stock MSM then either they haven't noticed you're racing them or there are no quick cars in your area. The slow spoolup is not due to the fact that it is a sleeve bearing turbo - they will spool almost as quickly as a ball bearing despite what the ads say.

Looks like we're going to have an MSM coming to stay with us for a week or two - a long-time customer of ours is going on vacation and offered us the car. Time for some R&D :D

jflo, I figured I'd take the "@FP" off my user name now that FP has been shut down.

oh yeah...there wasn't much going on for FP so they stopped making turbo kits...at least FM is still around :)

Yes, ALL praise FM! the bercharger Prototype car is running good, considering at the last autocross the IC popped a leak.
