Unfortunately, when my liftgate is open, there is less than 1/2 inch clearance between it and my open garage door, so I think I would have to remove the tray before pulling into the garage.
I'm trying to figure out a warning system so as to NEVER forget to stop the car and remove the tray before going into the garage.
My brother-in-law pulled into his garage with is bike atop his GTi and lets just say that roof was pretty jacked up.
