Anyone got an MPV?

msubullyfan

Yeah, I'm an engineer...
:
2005 Nissan Frontier 4x4
My wife and I are looking at buying a minivan in the next couple of weeks. I think we'd strongly consider an MPV because of the $2500 rebate they have right now and beacause I can get the supplier discount price on top of that. Does anyone have one (2000-2004)? If so, how do you like it? Any problems?

Wife has a 2003 its a great little van handles well, good motor, love the trans.Louie

Check out http://www.mpvclub.com , great resource about MPV and really friendly people. I got a 2003 MPV (ES/GFX with $2500 rebate) 2 months ago and the whole family love it. We pick the MPV because it's the only true mini van and has the best handling within it's segment.

The only known issue on 2003 is the tranny jolt from 2-3 and the latest ECM reflash solved it.

I've driven a MPV and a Toyota Sienna. Both are excellent vans and drive more like a car than a van. I don't think you can really go wrong with either of them.

On a side note, the 2004 MPV just had a recall. The transmission shift is a little jerky between 3 and 4th. It only happens sometimes but the dealer will replace the part for you.

the 2004 mpv looks pretty cool actually.
Agreed...if you must have a minivan, not a bad looking vehicle.

The mpv sure has transformed shapes in the last few years.

Get one of the Titainum MPVs with the sports package. That is the best looking minivan hands down. :D

I'm guessing you are gonna get a new one, but FYI

2000-2001 2.X V6 w/ 4spd Auto
2002-up 3.0 V6 w/ 5spd Auto

I have a 2001 and i love it. but i bet i'd love it even more w/ the bigger engine and extra gear in the tranny.
Also the front cup holders suck in the 2000-2001....better in later models.

hope this helps

Ya, my dad has a 2000 mpv. The 4 cyl model 175bhp
They decided on the smaller engine as it was the last year it was made in japan. The larger v6 is being shared by ford.

We don't have a gaming system in our 2002 MPV but we did get a portable DVD player. It is one of the models that you can hang between the two front seats. It has a really good picture and we use a tape deck adapter to pump sound through the car stereo system. It really makes those long drives a lot easier if the kids have something to do besides ask, "Are we there yet?"
