anyone considered this turbo?

I have yet to hear reviews for these turbo kits. within the next 2 months I am turboing my car and I'd like to use one of these kits but I gotta kno if the fitment of the exaush manifold and the down pipe to exhaust are going to be good

i too want to hear reviews about this kit....if only i didn't live in california i would save up for this kit....dam "SMOG"

well now our retard governor in FL is teaming up the Schwarzenegger to get auto-emissions testings in FL. I swear if they make me put emissions crap on my car there are going to be problems. How much does each emissions test cost in CA? its like what 2 times year? It is MY car, not a tool provided by the gov't for me to drive with. ugh.

i think its like every 3 years. ummm...i remember paying 60 bucks....no no i payed like 150 because stupid, i had a CEL and it cost me $ to fix it before it can past.....

thats stupid. anyway, about this kit--im going to make sure jc whitney allowed returns if fitment or functionality is bad taht way if it sucks i can return. for that price why not try it eh? i can be the first to do a review on it

emissions testing is done yearly here in atl, it has to be done before you can buy your tag on the anniversary of your bday, oh and the average cost is probably 20$ the state has it set to a max of 25$. Some counties still do not have to do it. I dont understand that but oh well.

Well the turbo itself is Garret, so that will be fine. Piping is piping is piping is piping as long as it fits your car, which according to this should be no problem. Intercooler could possibly be better, however it doesn't give a brand for the intercooler so I can't really tell. I would prolly buy a different BOV and possibly wastegate (just my preference), but other than that I don't see a reason not to get this kit. If your planning on keeping the PSI set to the 6 it comes with you won't need a boost controller. The only other thing you might want is a turbo ti mer, however that is optional and not very expensive either. Im turboing my car in the next month or so and am considering this kit myself. With Hi-boost being too expensive and the only other option is to build a kit from scratch myself this one is looking really attractive. I would also reccomend some new injectors as they would go well with a turbo kit.

You're sayin the same stuff my buddy said about it. He just turboed his 94 Lumina and had to do it piece by piece. This kit is mine under 2 months. I am savin a lot up already and getting new injectors was already on my mind. The one for 1700 i believe doesnt come with an intercooler but my buddy knows places to get mandrel pipe cheap and u can get an intercooler on ebay. so we shall see how this unfolds. 6psi is plenty for my auto tranny.

The pic of the kit shows an intercooler. Maybe I missed something but i'm pretty sure it comes with an intercooler.

Yeah thats what im saying, its not like your buying a suspension kit or something more technical.

I would just want to go past 6psi. If i had the time, i would go for it.

thats a generic pic. go look up a civic or soemthign it should show the same kit. the 'superior' kit is 1700 and no intercooler..the 'extreme kit' is 2600 and has intercooler.

goign past 6psi is an option for me i just gotta research ways to beef up my atx so i can...i dont wnaa do the work to go standard.

Ahh....I see what your saying. Anyways thats fine with me, I would rather pick out my own intercooler as that is a major part and I want a nice one.

The money you save buying that kit, you can use to help beef up your auto tranny. Im also in the betweener stage of either staying N/A or going F/I. I have my goal set to get the HiBoost, but I just can't save up enough money to get the kit. From what I hear, you can always either buy the intercooler from the HiBoost kit or you can buy one from Ebay that fits an older Eclipse (I think? Might be wrong).......

Interesting, have yet to see what it will be like.

There is someone who placed a review on that site but no way to contact him or perhaps thats just a booger review. It isn't really helpful , just praises the item.
