Anyone completely removed the rear Mazda badge?

It is adhesive with 2 pins on my 08 hatch. I used a hair dryer and fishing line to pry it off and rubbing alcohol to get off the sticky residue.

Rear Badges (like Avenger says above), come off easy.... a little "Power Pro" fishing line works great. Cleans up well

Chris is talking specifically about the center Mazda emblem. It is rather large and in every Mazda of the past, they have two alignment pins/holes.

Yea, I was considering using the hole, if present to fish the wire thru, but I'm doubting that the light I found even fits the CX-5 (even though it says it does) since the emblem goes into a socket of sorts.

I think the evil M looks great on the Mazda 3. But maybe because the rear hatch on the 3 doesn't have a recessed cut-out for the badge.

For the CX-5... maybe not.

I've removed the Mazda Center rear badge piece. Its the whole entire lip. You can't pull just the emblem off.

That doesn't seem right. I was at Mazda the other day and asked him specifically how much it cost for that badge and he said $24 and change. I would think that whole lip would be a lot more than $24.

The emblem can be removed by its self it is held on with adhesive and there are 3 alignment pins.

The Emblem Badge easy to take out or not? Will it hurt the car body? Hehe...I still can't get the size and measurement of the emblem from the site you provide. Anyway to get it? Thanks...
