Anybody interested in Exhaust GB?

GotBoost-how noticable were the gains after installing the exhaust? Oh yeah and is the power loss due to too much back pressure from the 3" piping? Would I be better off goin with a 2.5" setup? I am planning on doing other mods down the road so Im thinking it would be better to get a 3" now but if there is gonna be noticable power losses then I may have to rethink which exhaust im gonna get.
gains are very noticable. the car performs better all through the RMP range. and with 3" the is NO back pressure. I'm still running stock boost so I have a VERY SMALL torge loss (only noticable when dirving 5-10 MPH) 3" is the way to go.

ok so its a DP and a full catless exhaust with a n1 style muffler. correct? can we get a sound clip? anywhoo what kind of gains can we expect to see in stock form>? also when will it be available and im ready lets goo!

You are correct sir it is a full turbo back setup with downpipe and catless exhaust with choice of N1 style muffler or Carbon Titanium style muffler. I think somebody posted a sound clip on the first page of this thread. from what ive heard this is one bad ass exhaust. I will be calling marco at billetdesign tomorrow to see if he has any in stock and if not how long will it take to frabricate some more. I will have more info tomorrow also on prices. As of right now they are selling them for 750 for N1 style and 850 for Carbon Titanium style. I cant wait to get this biatch in before the Michigan Meet. that would be REALLY SWEET!!!!!

There is a pipe that the downpipe connects to I believe that is the S-pipe. I don't know who makes an S-pipe i think Ion makes a replacement but their system is a little more money. THis is all my understanding of the layout mind you

I heard Ion is having troubles shipping out there exhausts ontime like I hear alot of people havent received there items for months thats just entirely too long to wait in my mind and also with the billetDesign exhaust you can bolt it on and take it off very easily if you ever did need to take your car in for warrenty work.

Off hand does anybody know what exactly Ion is charging for there full turbo back setup???

I also talked to marco and he said it would be possible to get a carbon titanium catback if anybody is interested but the process is gonna take longer than expected for all exhaust systems since he has to hand weld and make every single exhaust. They only make them when orders are placed.

I guess to be specific you could call it an S pipe back. it would not be a DP back as it replaces the DP

This is from the ION Pre-Sale thread in the for sale section. One is for the S-Pipe to tail-pipe, the other looks to be after the down pipe to the tail-pipe

MSP FOR LIFE, have you found out how long it would take to get once order is placed? i would be interested in getting the complete setup in the carbon and not just the axel-back.

I would just call Marco at BilletDesign and see what he can do for you. I have found that it will take entirely too long for him to frabricate some more exhausts. He first has to wait for a local MSP owner to come in so he can get measurements for the exhaust. Then he has to order all the parts needed and then he said it will take probably a week or so to frabricate. So all in all it will probably be 3-4 weeks to get the finished product. I on the other hand went to a local muffler shop and found out it will only cost me $2-300 to get 3" pipes frabricated for me from the S pipe back and I will just supply my own Carbon Titanium Muffler which cost around $2-300 also. Seems alot cheaper to do it this way and I will get it a lot sooner. The guy at the muffler shop told me it would take him a day to frabricate the pipes for me.

thats what i was going to do, but i was hoping i could but a bolt on setup, but it looks like ill have to buy my dp and muffler and get a custom job

Hey where could I get one of those mufflers? I might of missed it but i didnt think anyone said anything about just the muffler. I love the looks of it.....sweeeeetttt.. :D

yeah and its only $175.00 I just ordered one myself. I got mine at jmdracing heres a link to the exhaust that I just got. http://www.jmdracing.com/store/product_details.cfm?category_id=32&product_id=986 . They were using the HKS Carbon TI exhaust but I guess they switched over to megans racing exhaust. The HKS exhaust is like $300+ and is pretty much the same quality as the megan racing exhaust for $175 but its up to you and either one is a great choice.
