Anybody else's MS3 have a problem with this? Hard to explain..

When you say slow, im assuming partial throttle?

If so, id check the connection or readings on your TPS.

An incorrect reading, especially with a load will def cause your car to buck like a bull.

I just mean after I shift from 1st to 2nd and I'm driving in 2nd it does it as well as 3rd and 4th.

They had to order the sensor from somewhere else so I won't know until tomorrow if it fixes it. I really hope it does and that this is an isolated incident.

But should throw a code. The fact this car is code-less is a bit odd.

Not necessarily.

It depends how out of range the TPS is. It goes by voltage. On my car my TPS had correct readings on closed throttle but was out of range on fully open throttle which caused my car to backfire in higher RPM's and made the RPMs stick when i got on it, then switched gears. And i didnt have a CEL.

A totally whacked out TPS will make a car backfire, erractic idle and run like complete crap, THAT will throw a CEL for sure because now the ECU doesnt know what the hell to do because of the incorrect feedback its getting.

didnt read the entire thread...but

i can tell you, from years of driving high compression setups that NEEDED good fuel...you might be having issues from poor fuel quality in the area, or a station that has a contaminated tank.

throw some lucas octane booster in there and see if it changes. if not, run that tank down, refill from somewhere else and try.

Still at the shop! This is day 6. Freakin O2 sensor is on backorder. Who knows when it will be available and if it's really even going to fix it. I sure hope it does.
I miss my car:(
Think I can get a free CAI out of the deal? LOL..right.

Vix, which stealership did u take it to? I was thinking bad spark plug at first, but that would surely cause a CEL. Kinda OT, but would u be interested in buying my CP-E CAI (not full msrp of course)? I'm still toying with the idea of switching to Cobb's SRI.

Hope u get ur car back soon!

I took it to Auffenberg. I don't want to dog on them or anything, I'm sure they are doing their best. If the O2 sensor doesn't fix it then I might get a second opinion somewhere else though. We'll see.
I'm kind of afraid of doing any mods to this thing until they get all the factory kinks worked out. I might wait another six months before I think about a CAI. Who knows, maybe it will take me that long to get my car back!! LOL.

So let me get this straight - they said it was an o2 sensor that was doing it, and its taking them a freaking week to replace one little sensor, is that correct?? Holy crap, did they at least give you a rental to drive while they are out racing your car behind your back????

Make sure to let us know if it fixes it - and to think this whole time I just thought it was me not paying attention while shifting. :p

It's fixed!! I just picked it up and I'm very very happy. I guess they shipped the sensor direct from Japan. The service guy had to pull some strings but he got it sooner than we all expected. Yay!!
They had given us a rental but we didn't keep it the whole time since we got the Cobra running again. The rental truck was a gas guzzler.
