just wanted to know if you have had any problems with your short shifter........of course, this is for those who drive 5-speed and have the kits installed.

installing my TWM short shifter and Kartboy bushings this weekend...... wish me luck

No problems here except for lowering the heat shield so it won't hit it. Let me warn you that they bushings are kind of a pain and they take a lot of force to get off. It took me a little bit just to get the rubber piece off because there are no good places under there to get leverage. Otherwise it is a blast to drive with it, I'd never go back.

No problems with mine.

I think the TWMs come with bushings for the heat shield, right? If they do, you won't have to bend the heat shield.

Just be aware that you will be hearing added noises with the KB bushings. Some people have claimed to have those go away with a "break in period". I'm still waiting for mine to break in, I guess, cuz it hasn't gone away. You get used to it though.

And yeah, it's kind of a pain to get the stock bushings off, I lost my patience and cut one side off

Pretty much summed it up right there. No problems at all after 6+ months of use.

my car is fairly new so the last thing i wanna do is void my warranty........ but this needs to be done b/c the stock protege shifter really sucks compared the my old car

Mine's squeekey! It's just beacuse I messed up the rubber shield at the bottom of the shifter though.

yea, i just cut the stock bushing out too, the install was really easy.
