Any problems with HKS VTA?

I am getting tired of waiting for a company to release a certain Hybrid BOV. Any one with the HKS running VTA having any troubles? Thanks!

thanks! i think i may go ahead and order that. im not worried about gas milage so much. i already get 32-33 mpg on the highway with my cai.

ur onboard pc is about 2mpg off (average) ... although that is DAMN good mileage...

i would go with the turboxs hybrid ...

off for the better or off for the worse? not that i bought this car for gas milage but it does make me smile after my weekend trips i see anywhere from 32 to 33 mpg, with a high of 34.7.
i thought i read about the turboxs getting stuck open?

No problems to speak of on mine, just a little burp once and a great while, lol my giirlfriend thinks its cute though for some reason. She gets pissed when I fart, but if my car does it she laughs, WTF??? lol

out of hundreds and hundreds sold (not only for the ms3) a couple getting stuck open (which they will gladly replace) ... is a well made product.

i have only read about a couple getting stuck. i would say, any product with a 95+% success rate is a WELL MADE product.

the trip pc is actually off for the worse... for instance, if it says 34 mpg, chances are you are looking at between 31-32 mpg, which is excellent. several reviews have shown an 8-10% misread. either way, you are getting awesome gas mileage.

On vta I get some stumbles and burps with a HKS SSQV. Its annoying and makes the car jerky when getting back on the throttle.

You don't want to be running VTA boss.

It's important for the ECU to meter the air properly if you want your car to run right.

However, if you bought a turbo car just to amuse your teenage friends with the sound, go right ahead and run VTA.

running vta gives shaky stutering when accelration if u try to drive it normally....some backfires everynow and than usualy when i get new gas for some reason...? wierd.. but i realized that if u shift under 2k and dont give it gas while u shift the car doesnt stumble or anything...after u engage the clutch again just EASily and slowly give the car gas..... alot of people usually pass me cuz i accelerate so slow but i get higher mileage driving like that anyway (shifting under 2k dd)

you guys are having backfire issues???? I have yet to experience that...i am going to try running it in recirc mode though....not sure how the cap goes in the valve though.....and pics?

yea ive gotten a few loud ones....the recirc is easy...u gota unscrew 4 screw holding the metal cap over the valve and insert the recirc fitting...if ur looking at the valve str8 on its the bottom left screw and then ever other one after that...be careful when u gettin them out there are tiny....hks bov i bought had everything i needed with pictures and instructions...

Been running in VTA for almost 3000 miles. I get the occasional stumble, and burp... but certainly no backfires.

Still debating changing it back to resirk though just cuz I know i should

i am running vta until next week when i get my MS CAI...its made to run recirc and with cai u here BOV releases when u shift so its like a low tone VTA setup but tis really RECIRC....i had it recirc at first but to shoot vids i ran vta and jsut havent changed it back yet...im lazy and figured id do it when i install my cai(mj)
