Any photographers in here?

You know I am ANXIOUSLY waiting the rest! First one looks good man!

Phew... glad that's over. I made some business cards, which I handed out as I took photos. Made some good contacts and even got a paid offer to have me take a photo of someone's airplane tomorrow. Might be the start of something good here, so hopefully people visit the flickr site and like what they see!

I'm thinking of creating my own site where I can showcase my photos a little more professionally than flickr, any suggestions?

Joomla? well, that's really the only Content Management System that I know of.. If there is some standard for pro's I wouldn't know.

I guess if you have Adobe products (like Flash) you can make some sweet looking slideshows and post that to some hosted site..

iso 200, f/11, exposure ended up being about a half second

1. lens is dirty. You have spots near the edges of your picture

2. shoot at lowest iso for any long exposure shutter - cuts down on the amount of noise

3. why F11?

4. You might be too close..at F11, both rings should've been in focus. Either that or your lens loses quite a bit of sharpness at small apertures.

5. Over processed

6. Too dark a little. Use your histogram to expose it about +1/3 stop. Remember, expose to the right.

You can create a simple HTML site and use Simple Viewer as a gallery organizer. YOu can buy the version that displays high res. It uses flash animation.

I started around 7 and kept moving the Fstop up until I got enough DOF. The macro mode on that lens is pretty funny so I'm not sure how to work it to get what I'm after. I'll play with it some more tomorrow.

Sweet! The A-10 is my favorite piece of military hardware of all time!! I need to get to one of these shows and see one.

The F-14 and F-16 are still my favorite planes EVAR.

They were both build for a purpose and did it very well and the F-16 still does.

I just do not understand the decision to scrap the F-14....so dumb.

Anyways. on to more pics!!

Need website help... I'm working on rebuilding my wife's webpage and I have just started using Dreamweaver. I've learned a lot already and the main build of the page is done.

However, I'm running into issues getting the slide show to work the way that I want it to... I've built one slide show in Adobe Flash and it works great and I'm very pleased for it's application. However, the same process wont work on our individual portfolio pages... Can any one suggest gallery widget or point me in a direction? I want the images/slide show to load/start with the page with thumbnails towards the bottom, possibly music....?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Love A10's. And F15, 18 and an Apache helicopter.

blackhawk.. apache is an attack helicopter. and thats 2 shots of an F-18. lol

super old design. newer designs do the job better... swing wing is a dated concept. Top Gun > * though! LOL

My buddy was at the retirement ceremony, and they actually had to land the backup plane, because the one that did the takeoff had mechanical trouble.

Are you wanting the portfolio to be in flash only too? Or are you open to other options?
And do you have anything on the website now?

TXspeed6 -

Doesn't have to only be flash... I am using the CS5 Master Suite so I'm trying to learn everything.

Our current website is static and built through iWeb. It's a decent build but we need something more professional.

Edit - Oh, and I'm on a Mac.
