Not really.. I guess it depends on what you want to do. Comparing 85 with the 50 was night and day for me. The 85 was much sharper at 1.8 then the 50mm at 1.8

for sure, but there is also a big difference in the pricing

but well worth it imo because the focus on the 85 is better

So I've been playing around with my new camera this weekend. I'm so impressed by the low-light ISO capabilities.

ISO 500 or 600 (I cannot remember off the top of my head)

Video still at ISO 500 or 600 (again, I cannot remember off the top of my head)

So, like 20 times the price LOL..that's even worst. I sold my 50mm 1.8 and saving for a 85mm 1.8 But I might go L prime..we'll see. I still have to rebuild my motor
