Any photographers in here?

Thanks all for the input. I think the cards are the way to go. While they are suseptable to environmental damage or theft/loss just as the HDD-based devices, I feel more confident knowing they are much more impact resistant, lighter wieght, do not require a power supply, and do not rely on firmware/SW to confirm transfer function accuracy. Some of the devices I've seen quote a DL time of ~60 seconds/GB and ~90 to verify the data is an exact copy. That's a long time for the head to be moving around. I'd want to make sure the device was sitting on a table away from impact to prevent a crash during that time, which may or may not be convenient.

Any, I'll keep my eye out for deals. BTW, I have a Nikon D50 which does not support the HDSD standard, so 2GB cards are the largest size I can safely use.

Winty, I dig your pick. It reminds me of this one I just took last week.

Thanks man, that input lets me know I'm doing something right. That's my favorite picture from my trip to Chicago I took over the weekend. I have a few more that I shot in Raw, I just have to convert, and photoshop em.

Some more from my trip to Chicago. I took 130 pics and half of them were in RAW, those are gonna take awhile to get through.
Oh uhm how do I design a copywrite to put on my pics?

I want to sell my P5 and buy this car now. Great picture and a beautiful interior.

Thanks, I've always been sold on the interior design of the 8. I loved what I had done with the P5, but nothing could bring it to this level.

I don't like to tell guys this, but...your sister is hot. She has a photogenic face, at least. I'd take some more of her to practice your focusing skills.

Other pics are nice, but you need to work on composition. I think some of the locations are nice but something is lost in those last few pictures.

Also, for copyright I think a small signature in the corner of the image should be sufficient for general web posting. If you have work for a client that you want to maintain rights to then you should watermark the image and clearly indicate "all rights reserved". I'm sure altspace can provide more details if that's what you're looking for.
