It should be possible to put the Dis-2 in the P5 now, because MSD had created a dual coil pack of their own to work with the system. I'm going to call Summit as soon as I get the loot.
FINALLY!!! MSD for the protege line. oooohhh man. i've seen the difference when my friend brought in his older camaro to the shop. we went for a spin before and after.... the difference was definitely sweet.
i know for a motor like ours, it won't make that much difference, but i'd appreciate the instant startup, and whatever else comes with it in the small engine design.

They actually explain it quite well. So of the key fetures are that you can set timing curves accourding to boost levels, rpm, and you can also set triggers to go on and off at certian rpms. It also has a staging feature.

Did you read my first post? Well read it again. If you read it is says you can use it now because MSD cam out with a dual ignition coil that works with the DIS-2 so you no longer need the stock ones.

Sorry to be a pain in the ass mod, but we are trying to clean up all the forums to make it easier to search for items, and less cluttered. In the future, please post in the appropriate forum...example - Intakes, dispite being for the Protege5, belong in the performance section. Buying a carbon fiber hood for your Protege5 belongs in the Appearance section. If you raced someone in your Protege5 it still belongs in the Racing/Motorsports section.
