Any NEPOC Hikers or Campers???

For my bachelor party last fall I forced all my friends to do a little hiking like the old days when we were in scouts. Some liked it, some were just there to drink by the fire, but we all had a great time.

Anyway, this summer my friend and I are planning a canoe/rafting weekend in N.H/ME (Saco river probably) and a trip to Baxter State Park in ME for some hiking and camping. The dates are TBA but probably one in June/July and the other in August.

Anyone interested in joining us?


Camping fees are between $5-10/night per person which I'll need when we book the campsites (should be in the next few weeks).

i used to hike a lot...mt. washington was our fav spot! i hiked that at the 3 other presidents prob 50 times....i've never done baxter...i'd have to get in shape!!

Same here bro. When we lived in the Berkshires we hiked everywhere. But now we have the Jeep!

melissa, gavin and myself plan on possibly doing some camping this summer.........do some hiking, too!

So does that mean there is interest? I'd like to get some female representation so that Amanda will come. We're not world class hikers or anything. We just want to enjoy the outdoors.

Yea, depending on schedule I may be able to convince the family to go. I did some rafting in Savoy, MA. Just class 2 but still a heck of a good time. My wife picked me up one of those inflatable kayaks and I can't wait to get it in the waters around here.
